Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.
At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to local officials.
Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A wave of strikes struck power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.
Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.
The assaults come after nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.
The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.
Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
