Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
